Im not a pro musician but this app definitely makes you feel like one!

Spectacular notation app for the price it is being sold. Ive used this app to write trombone quartet music and the ease of it is amazing!

Very frustrating for piano where there is more than 1 note/voice. Better off with pen and paper I think.

I find this program invaluable for playing, transposing, and making minor edits to midis. It is a terrific aid to my music practice since I can import the midi, slow it down, and work through the notes.

Great job ! This application works perfectly. Easy to use, sounds are amazing. It is fully compatible with the PC/Mac application. Check the PC application. It is far better than Sibelius at least for the simple and straight forward way of editing the score.

There are all kinds of instruments, but there is not an organ. As soon there is an organ, Ill update my review to 5 stars.

I am VERY happy with Notion for iPad. It is quite functional and a fraction of the full version for PC and MAC. A minute fraction. The only reason its not 5 stars for me is that the save as button is not working. If I am working on a project and would like 2 different versions of the song, I have to start from scratch. PLEASE fix the SAVE AS button. Why have it if you cannot use it. Otherwise, other than it takes a while to get used to it for speed, it is phenomenal. And relatively cheap. REALLY??? Some people think that $14.99 is expensive. This is worth much more...keep adding more features.

Very intuitive to use, and the sound samples are fantastic. Some of the touch screen capabilities are a bit inaccurate though. I find trying to grab and move the cursor can be finicky. Still, a great tool for sketching, getting down ideas relatively quickly!

For the love of God, please add proper quantize or this otherwise good app. You claim that it came in an update last year, but I still see no quantize option even though I upgraded. It is ridiculous to not have this function. 16th notes are a complete disaster when played in real-time. I dont want to spend all my time editing what Ive just played in. Im going to try the new version of Symphony Pro until Notion gets it together!

I have tried to download this three times and I get the blue square in the circle .... It does not seem to download. I trust my account has not been drawn three times!

This app is great for writing down musical motifs as they first come to you. Once the idea is captured, you can then export the data to other programs, such as Sibelius using the midi file setting. One major let down was the Fact that I paid $15 for the app and cannot use all instruments . You have to pay extra for saxophones etc. this is why I didnt give it a full rating. I shouldnt have to pay for that. The app does the trick and other then the instrument issue, the program is effective.

Great little app. There are a few glitches but nothing you cant work around.

I am in the process of documenting a song a cowrote. I have been so pleased with the results of using Notion. The printed results look professional and easy to read.

This is the most useful app on my ipad! It is the best app that Ive found to sketch out ideas when youre on the go

I like it very much. I see a great future in it. I often restart or search work arounds. This mean two thing; first it needs upgrades not very stable. Second since I lm still using it anyway ; you have something to keep and develop

The best software for notating music and thats including PC and Mac softwares. I definitely prefer it to Sibelius and Finale. They need to add a couple of features such as a metronome though.

downloaded this about an hour ago... read the manual, help files, etc.... heres what needs to be fixed: 1. better input method - it hangs sometimes when inputting chords (not symbol, noted chords) 2. enharmonic equivalents: when changing # for b,or vice-versa, the program changes ALL the notes of the chord, even the ones not selected. very frustrating. 3. needs a quicker transposer- dont fool yourself into thinking that your razor-like taps are going to get the right notes! 4. better/faster way to delete/select... long tapping and selecting a region with unreliable blue dots is not as accurate as a proper eraser. 5. NO tech support?.. this is the only place that i can voice my opinions/ findings? this is after one hour ... i tried to put in four chords that i was checking out- some with enharmonic spelling - like a C7 with #11 so you need both Bb and F#. not so easy. one hour= 4 chords? 16$= wasted!,,!,!,! feel free to email me, notion, or presonus, or whoever you are!!!! your product stinks.

The latest update has made this app unstable. When I want to edit my score, the cursor jumps around, often to the beginning, and makes changes that I dont intend to make. Then the undo button does not work. If I can make the change I want to make, the change is undone vanishes when the cursor decides to jump to the beginning. This is very frustrating and makes the app virtually useless. It shouldnt be this hard to make a few changes!

This is a great app and Id be glad to give it a great review if I wasnt having the same problems as others are with the cursor jumping around back to the beginning of my score and messing everything up. When it does this, the undo doesnt work. When Notion isnt bugging out, its great, but this problem makes it very cumbersome and nearly impossible to work with.

I like your notion, but your transposition is all wrong, please fix it. To write a text, it is so complicate and hard to use. you can not send your music without Internet, no offline. Even the hand writing that I bought is hard to use. Please fix them and make them easy to use. Thank you
