I love the app very much! But it is virtually unusable with the new software. It has been needing this update for over a month!

This has only taken a few days to get used to, and I find it plenty adequate for what I needed. This will be a good on the go app for me to use. It is reasonably easy to clean up and finalize these files in Finale. Love it! Worth very penny.

I cannot zoom, select, or do much editing because the app is continuously crashing. I have had to export several project files so that I can finish them on my laptop. I didnt purchase this app for my phone and iPad only to be forced to use my computer. Needs an update.

Love this update. Handwriting directly into the score is great, and its a useful addition to an alrealdy great app. I use this app all the time.

This is probably the most app used on my phone. I use it to write most of my music, as I cannot really afford any of those $500 music notation programs. The sound quality of the instruments is very good and gives you an excellent idea at what it might sound like being performed by a live orchestra. It runs very well and the controls are all very easy once you get the hang of them. My one and only wish, is that when you export a PDF file or for parts of a multi-track piece, that the tests are represented by the multi-bar rest, instead of having tons of whole rests and taking up too much paper. Its not the best thing to look at and it makes it look unprofessional. If there is a way to do that, then that will make this app absolutely perfect. UPDATE: I see that youve added an Organ into the app, but I cannot download it and there are no tones for it. Im not sure if it is just so you can write easier for an organ instead of a piano and bass clef, but I hope that some organ sound files are uploaded soon!

Love the new update. However, it wont let me download the organ. Please fix.

I first want to say, all in all, this is a great app. I personally just mess around with it and eventually make something decent. It has great sound quality compared to other apps similar to it, and you dont have to pay a million bucks for it. My problem is the recent update added an organ and choral sounds, but I cant download them. Ive tried reinstalling the app and redownloading the sounds, but they just wont download. I dont know if you guys added the instruments and not the sounds, or if its a glitch, but please put the sounds in or fix the bug.

Being a trained musician and software engineer, I have a sense about what is needed in a user interface. This program may be powerful, but it is nearly impossible to use intuitively. All controls are hidden or opaque. Furthermore, the help is not searchable, so you just scroll through 60 pages of junk if you need to find anything. Finally, the program hits you up for add-ons for additional fees. Altogether, a waste of time and money if you simply want to write music.

I cant even write sixteenth notes without it going berserk, or it inputting quarter notes.

I do not recommend this app. It was good app in the past. Unfortunately over the years this app has become unusable and not very functional. Importing of the song is terrible and editing of the score is a nightmare. Furthermore you have to pay additional money for unlock some instruments. I uninstalled from iPad.

When I opened the app, right after purchasing it, there was a loud high pitched hissing sound, which continued to be present even after closing and re-opening the app... and when I tried to seek support I found that I have to spend my time going through the hassle of signing up with this company, offering my email address, and setting up a product registration, etc. just to contact a tech support person. So now, until I find the time to deal with this, I presently having an unusable app taking up space on my iPad. When I purchase a product, I expect that product to work without me having to waste time contacting people to get it to work. Very disappointed with this experience.

The handwriting app only allows the writing to show up for a few seconds, which obviously makes it useless. After contacting customer service I was told the problem was noted and that it would be fixed, but they couldnt give me a timeframe. That was several weeks ago. Obviously selling me an app and getting my money is a high priority for Presonus; ensuring the app functions properly is not. Dont waste your money here.

This app is great. Once you learn the input methods, note entry is quick and easy. It works seamlessly with the Notion desktop app. Once songs are saved to the cloud, then they are accessible via the mobile app and the desktop app. The sounds are the best!!

Ive struggled to figur out the UI for this app. Its not something to just pickup and start using. Ive tried the pen, the keyboard and the handwriting, all of which seem to work very differently and not very intuitively. I draw a half note, I get a whole note. I enter an E (in f minor) and I get an Eb (i.e., no natural sign was inserted). I think there is a lot of functionality here, but I also think its not easily accessed. And the documentation is entirely out of date, clearly showing a version prior to the "flattening" of the UI.

I had already bought jazz packs as individual instruments. Same with guitars. The app assumed I did not have these instruments and prompted me to buy add-ins totalling almost $10. The program is fantastic, but the add-in programming is dodgy.

Pay the extra $8 for handwriting "recognition" and it still is out STAND ingly terrible. Interprets a group of four sixteenth notes as a single dotted-eighth? How does that even make any sense anywhere? When its ready for professional use, it might be worth HALF the price. Right now its a stupid toy.

Love the app. Wish there was a way to make vocal/choral parts sound when written instead of a piano. But Notion is great!

This app is great an all, however the in app purchases seem overly unobtainable, even after spending fifteen dollars on the app alone, but is still very enjoyable although without all the instruments it offers. There is one major thing, however, that baffles me. Ties are a very important tool in music, correctly elongating a note across measures while being able to maintain the pattern respective to the time signature, it is seen in most pieces, in all different genres of music. So how have they not implemented them into the app by now?! Also, I would find it absolutely delightful if they also added choral voices, it is an essential aspect for a masterfully diverse and beautiful arrangement. Please, apply these tool into this potentially perfect application. Only then will I give the five star rating it should deserve.
