Buy Again

I purchased this and they still want money for the instruments. When you buy an app it should come with everything, this is like dumb. We should get everything when we buy an app!

Horrible handwriting interface

Paid for the app and the in-app purchase for handwriting. The interface is full of bugs and it translates incorrectly almost 100% of the time... Even when taking time to write as perfectly as possible.

Good, but please fix

On transposition, the flats are supposed to be sharps and sharp need to be flats on the tabs

Horrible UI

Would you believe you cant select a note and delete it? In fact there is no delete key or delete gesture! You think the eraser tool will let you erase the notes you drag it over. No, the programmers dont know the difference between a tool and a command. Its impossible to know when it will create a new note even when you desperately want to add to your chord and you are in "chord mode". Half the time it adds a separate new note anyway. The next time or time after that it will probably add a note to the chord but theres rhyme or reason for it. Its a single tool with multiple action states without visual feedback. What will it do next? You cant select a note and drop it on a chord, you cant select a note and change its duration. Wouldnt it be nice if you could circle a note or collection of notes and delete them? Nope. To select multiple notes you select the select tool which then selects the measure and you may or may not be able to change the selection. You drag the handles and whatever the rule its not "select the highlighted notes". If you do manage that, you have to operate from a popup menu. No modeless delete, drag or modify. Imagine in Photoshop if next to the pencil tool in the tool pallette there was a "share on Facebook" button whereas other tools are buried inside pop ups as if the programmers just added features and slapped them on wherever. In keyboard enter mode, and in chord mode, (yes, it has layered modes), it gets confused and displays the wrong notes, then it wont let you change or edit them. Same thing with handwriting entry: it will get one note right, then when you add the next note the previous one will mutate to some random note or even collection of notes. Complete a note and the music will reform ate but not scroll your current position back into view. Theres a pencil tool that only operates if you have the keyboard tool popped up and selected, theres a separate finger tool that ....oh never mind. As a former Apple employee Im sad to say this program is a disaster. There are principles and rules of UI design but these programmers never learned them. This is one of the poorest, buggy, and frustrating UI designs Ive ever experienced. Oh, and there is no manual for the iPad version.

i need help

i purchase this app because i read it works with Mac Pro but it seems like it does not…what can i do?help please…. can i have my money back if it is not compatible?

Poor handwriting capability...take a look at Staffpad..wake up!

Hi...nice start on the handwriting capabilities, but its way too buggy and unfinished---also, the updates to this app are so infrequent, I am not too optimistic it will ever "get there." So far the best implementation is Staffpad for Surface....if you want to have a hope in this game, I hope you get the bugs ironed out soon...otherwise someone else is going to bring the A game and have an iOS alternative. Charging for a beta feature is very poor form.

Good...but

I like the app, and its great being able to write melodies for piano, but when I try to use different instruments, no sounds are produced. Km really disappointed because I wanted to be able to write a piece for clarinet that I could listen to and then actually play on my clarinet. Also, its kind of confusing trying ti change the tempo and key. I wanted to write in 3/4 time but I couldnt figure out how.

What happened?

This app has served me many good hours in the past; however, I am now finding it dysfunctional to the point where it wont even open files. Anxiously awaiting an update.

Solid App, but needs improvement

First off, if you need a music-notation app for your iPad, get this one. Once you get used to the workflow, its pretty handy. Do beware, that as of now, the option to use the Apple Pencil for handwritten notation that gets translated into digital is an $8 in-app purchase. Still though, this app is definitely worth the money. Needs a few more features like folder-organization for scores, but overall, its hard to complain.

Best There Is

Are there issues that bother me? Yes. But this is by far the most powerful iOS notation app there is. A program with these features used to cost several hundred dollars. For under $20, this is the deal of the century. Overall, it continues to surprise me with what it CAN do, and how intuitively it does it. Im now very tempted to give the desktop version a try. Being able to go back and forth between OS X and iOS with the same file would be life changing for me.

Cant find product key. Cant register.

Title says it all.
